RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Our competition is open to composers of all ages and nationalities
  • Composers should submit a work for SOLO PIANO with a duration of maximum 5 minutes
  • The full score (pdf format) and a recording must be submitted via the application form
  • The recording can be either in mp3 (audio) or mp4 (video)  format
  • Compositions must not have been previously published
  • Compositions must not have won any prize in a previous composition competition
  • Compositions must never have been performed in public
  • Compositions for prepared piano is NOT permitted
  • Participants will not be able to claim any rights on the piece presented (including copyright, performance rights and radio/tv broadcast rights) during the period of the competition, or when broadcasted on the ArtePiano Youtube channel or on any ArtePiano social media platform
  • Participants should submit a self-written/typed and signed letter of declaration that he/she is the original author of the entered composition (add title) and that he/she discharges ArtePiano from any possible consequence deriving from improper use of non-original material/material owned by others
  • Only one submission per applicant is permitted
  • Application deadline: 7 February 2023 (23:59 GMT)
  • Application fee: 65 Euro (non-refundable)
  • A complete application consists of: 1) Application form 2) PDF score 3) Recording in mp3/mp4 format 4) Profile photo 5) Proof of identity 6) Declaration form 7) Application fee 
  • If the recording is too large to upload onto the application form, then please send it via Wetransfer to composerscompetition@arte-piano.com
  • Composers who are in close private relations with any member of the jury (teachers/family relations) may not apply for the competition
  • Incomplete or late entries will not be accepted
  • Candidates will be notified of the receipt of their application and payment
  • The winner will be awarded a cash prize of 1000 Euro 
  • The world premiere of the winning composition will be performed by Ruochong Steven Cui, the winner of the 2nd International ArtePiano Competition of 2022, during the International ArtePiano Festival 2023 in Castelnuovo di Farfa in Italy
